Mrs. Elvira L. Butler, 73, of Springfield Township, Fife Lake, Kalkaska County, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center after a short illness. She was born July 26, 1900, in Kalkaska County, daughter of Benjamin R. and Catherine Blake. In 1919 she was united in marriage to Cloyse Nelson who passed away in 1951. Ward Butler, whom she married in 1955, passed away in 1956. Mrs. Butler is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Laura Gilmore, Mrs. Oscar (Wilma) Miner and Mrs. Fred (Olive) Skinner all of Fife Lake and Mrs. Fern Condon of Flint; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Marjorie Blake of Fife Lake; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Clarence and Floyd Blake and one sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Scott. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley with the Rev. Eddie L. Bratton officiating. Interment will be made in Clark Cemetery, Springfield Township, Kalkaska County.
