Cloyse Von Nelson resident of Springfield township, died suddenly November 4, at his farm home on Long Lake. Mr. Nelson was born January 19, 1901 in Indiana. He came to Michigan with his parents when a child. He was united in marriage to Elvira Blake on June 30, 1920, at Muskegon. For 20 years he was a machinist at the Buick plant in Flint, but ill health caused him to resign in 1946, at which time the Nelson's purchased their present home on Long Lake. They operated a resort on the lake and Mr. Nelson was employed at the Cone Gear plant in Traverse City. 

Surviving are the wife Elvira, two sisters, Mrs. Hortense Begaka of California and Mrs. Audrey Dexterhouse of Muskegon; four brothers, Claire of Flint, Ivan of Washington, Morris of Buchanan, and Myron of Muskegon. 

Funeral services were held at the Springfield Church of Christ at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with burial in Clark cemetery. Rev. Ellis officiated.
