Floyd Williams passed away at Munson Hospital, Traverse City, Mar 8, 1945 at the age of 51 years, 4 months, and 8 days, following an illness of about a year and a half.

Funeral services were held Mon at the Methodist Church in Fife Lake, with Rev. Geo. A. Tennant officiating. Remains were returned to the funeral parlors in Manton pending the arrival of a son, Arden, who has been in New Guinea, but is now in the states on furlough.

Floyd Lafayette Williams, son of Lafayette and Frances Williams was born at Walton Junction, Aug 30, 1893. He grew to manhood in that community. On Jul 15, 1915 he was married to Elsie Stampfler. To them were born five children, Ellery of Fife Lake, Orris of Muskegon, Arden in the army, Eugene in the navy in Newport, RI, and Miss Nettie Williams of Gaylord. Mr. Williams owned a farm just across from the Stampfler school in Kalkaska County.

Surviving are the widow and the above named children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Williams of Fife Lake, one sister, Mrs. Casey Skidmore of Fremont, a step-grandmother, Mrs. Eliza Whitney of Cadillac, a host of other relatives and friends.
