Funeral services were held Wed afternoon at the Fife Lake Methodist Church for Mrs. Frances Rose Williams, aged 73, of 8929 North Main Street, Holton, a former hotel and restaurant operator with her husband at Fife Lake and Manton for many years, whose death occurred Sunday in Muskegon Convalescent Home following a long illness. Burial was made in Ditch Clark Cemetery, Fife Lake. Mrs. Williams, formerly Frances R. Whitney, was born in Caulchester, IL and had resided in Michigan most of her life. Her marriage to Lafayette Williams took place on Feb 26, 1891 at Walton. Mr. Williams died Jul 4, 1945 at Cadillac and his widow had since resided at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Casey Skidmore. Surviving besides the one daughter are her stepmother. Mrs. Eliza Whitney of Cadillac; a sister, and other relatives.
