Nettie F. Sanford, 70, of Las Vegas, died Tue, at the Vegas Valley Convalescent Hospital in Las Vegas.
Mrs. Sanford was a homemaker and loved her family dearly. She especially loved her grandchildren, who knew her as “Nana”.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Milford, MI.
Born Feb 16, 1925, in Fife Lake, MI, she was the daughter of Floyd and Elsie (Stampfler) Williams. On Feb 2, 1946 , in Milford, she married Robert M Sanford, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Valerie (Terry) Applegate of Haslett; a son, Robert J (Ruth) Sanford of East Lansing; six grandchildren, J.R., Janelle and Aaron Applegate, Alison, Michael, and Megan Sanford; two brothers, Athel Eugene Williams of Gaylord, and Orris Williams of Fife Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Elery and Arden Williams.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm Mon at the Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley, with the Rev. Ted Turanski officiating. Burial will be later in the spring at the Springfield Township Cemetery in Fife Lake.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 pm today and from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
