Mrs. Della Haskin Morgan, age 79, died February 2, 1961, at Redford Community Hospital after an illness of two and a half weeks.
She left her home at Fife Lake in November to spend the winter months visiting her children and planned to return to her home in the spring, as she had done for so many years.
Mrs. Morgan was born April 9, 1881, in Springfield Township, Kalkaska county, the daughter of William and Lucy Ingersoll. She attended the Delbert School. In 1899, she was married to Albert Haskin and lived on a farm in Springfield township one half mile west of Maple Hill school. Three years were spent in the state of Washington. They returned to Michigan to farm again where Mr. Haskin died April 9, 9117. She was married to Ernest W. Morgan in 1920 and he died in 1940.
She is survived by two sons, Erwin Haskin of Grand Rapids, and Lester Haskin of Manton; seven daughters: Mrs. Erva Burt of Flint, Mrs. Ada McCafe of Ada, Mrs. Mae Clark of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Lucylle Kelley of Detroit, Mrs. Eva Kreeger of Frederle, Mrs. Elsie Birgy of Fife Lake, and Mrs. Ann Robbins of Comstock Park; 48 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren; five brothers: Arthur, Charles, Roy, and Harry Ingersoll of Fife Lake, and Floyd Ingersoll of Traverse City.
Funeral services were held February 4, 1961, in Fife Lake Methodist Church. Rev. Allen Stebbins officiating, assisted by Rev. Max Gladding. Burial was in Springfield Township Cemetery.
