Erwin Albert Haskin died Thursday, Jan 14, 1982 at Munson Medical Center. He was born in Fife Lake on Aug 20, 1902 to Albert and Della (Ingersoll) Haskin. He had lived most of his life in Fife Lake except 20 years while working at Fisher Body in Grand Rapids from which he was retired. On Dec. 11, 1926, Erwin was married to Edith Barber in Fife Lake. Surviving are his wife Edith; two sons, Albert of Fife Lake and Kenneth of Marne; four daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Dorothy) Clark of Fife Lake, Mrs. Myron (Betty) Blake of Kalkaska, Mrs. Richard (Louise) Norman of Manton, Mrs. Joe (Jeanie) Baltierrez of Portage; four sisters, Mrs. Erva Burt of Flint, Mrs. Mae Clark of Fife Lake; Mrs. Eva Ritter of Frederick and Mrs. Ann Robbins of Comstock Park. Also, 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Raymond; one brother, Lester, four sisters, Ella Haskin, Ada McCabe, Lucile Kelly and Elsie Birgy ,and four grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, Jan 16, at 2 p.m. at Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley. Rev. Daniel Revoir officiated. Burial was at Springfield Township Cemetery in Fife Lake. Memorials may be sent to the Michigan Heart Association.
