Archie M. Bourne, 73, of Fife Lake, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1982, at the Kalkaska Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and roofer, and was a member of the Church of Christ. At the time of his death, eh was serving as a member of the Kalkaska County Board of Social Services.
Mr. Bourne was born in Kalkaska County on Sept. 10, 1909, the son of Frederick and Ellen Battenfield Bourne. He was married to Goldie Reed in Manon on March 13, 1965.
Surviving are his wife, Goldie; four sons, Raymond of Plainwell, Devere and Wayne, both of Kalkaska, and Harry Reed of South Boardman; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Edith) Ingersoll of Fife Lake, and Mrs. Lyle (Edna) Wahl and Mrs. Harold (Elaine) Scribner both of Grand Rapids; one brother, Cecil Bourne of Detroit, 26 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov 7, 1982, at the Wolfe Funeral Home, in Kalkaska. Rev. Wesley Rowe, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in Springfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
