Charles F. Bourne, 74, Springfield Township, Kalkaska County, died suddenly Monday morning, April 13, 1964, at his home.
Mr. Bourne was born August 4, 1889 at Doland, South Dakota, son of Frederick and Ellen Bourne, and had been a Springfield resident since the age of 11 years.
He was a farmer and belonged to the Springfield Church of Christ.
On October 30, 1910, he was married to Nora Dine, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Maxine) Ingersoll of Apache Junction, Arizona; three grandchildren, Mrs. Harold (Doloras) Baldwin of Ludington, Dahlia and Donna Ingersoll, both of Apache Junction, Arizona; two great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Floyd (Beulah) Merritt of Manton; three brothers, Raymond of Flint, Cecil of Southfield, and Archie of Moline. Two sons, one in infancy and one at the age of twelve preceded Mr. Bourne in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 1964 at 2 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley. Rev. Robert Frye of the Church of Christ at Manton and Rev. Bruce Crawford of the Fife Lake Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Clark Cemetery in Springfield Township.
