Stanley A. Gauld, 74, of Fife Lake, died Saturday at home. He retired in 1976 after 30 years as a furniture maker for St. John's Table Company in Cadillac. He lived in Fife Lake all his life.
Born June 10, 1914, in Fife Lake, he was the son of Arthur and Clara (Cunningham) Gauld. On March 24, 1939, in Fife Lake, he married the former Elsie Harper, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jim A. and S. George Gauld, both of Fife Lake, a daughter, Shirley Hilts of Burton; a brother, Glade Gauld of Fife Lake; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Covell-Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley. The Rev. Bruce Kintigh will officiate. Burial will be in Springfield Township Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Michigan Diabetes Association.
