Clara M. Gauld, of Liberty Twp., Wexford County, R.1, Fife Lake died suddenly late Monday afternoon, June 3, at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac after a lingering illness. She was 81, having been born Aug 10, 1892, in Kalkaska County, the daughter of Sophia and Lyman Cunningham. She married Arthur H. Gauld, Nov. 29, 1910, and together they farmed in the Liberty Township area. Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 1, 1966. Also preceding her in death were a brother and two sisters. Those surviving include four sons, Lyman of Muskegon, and Garth, Stanley, and Glade, all of Fife Lake; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; a brother, Albert Cunningham of Fife Lake; a sister, Mrs. Florence Wilson Cedar Springs; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Gauld will be 2 p.m. Funeral Home in Kingsley with the Rev. Lewis Buchner officiating. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery, Fife Lake.
