Garth Elvin Gauld, 64, of Fife Lake died Saturday morning at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. He had been ill since March.
Mr. Gauld was born May 7, 1913, in Fife Lake and was married to Rita Fritz in Hannah Aug 31, 1943.
A lifelong area resident, he had retired from St Johns Table Co. after being employed there for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Doyle of Birch Run; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Donna) Crawford of Florida; three brothers, Stanley and Glade of Florida and Lyman of Muskegon, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were this afternoon at Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley wit Rev. Lewis Buchner officiating. Burial was in Springfield Township Cemetery, Fife Lake.
