Funeral services for Adolphus E. Aldridge, 63, lifelong resident of the region died at Munson hospital Fri afternoon following a long illness, will be held Tue at 2pm at the Summit City Methodist Church.

Rev. George Tennant of Fife Lake, will officiate and interment will be made in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Paradise Township. A brief prayer service will be held at 1:30pm at the home of Elmer Revett at Kingsley.

Mr. Aldridge was born Mar 9, 1882, in Kalkaska County and engaged in farming in Kalkaska and Grand Traverse Counties all his life. On Dec 3, 1905, he was united in marriage to June Naylor, who preceded him in death 36 years ago. To this union were born four children two of whom are deceased. On Nov 1, 1913, he was married to Nellie Smith and this union were born 8 children.

Surviving besides the wife are ten children, Mancle of Jackson, Mrs. Ralph Hicks of Manton, Mrs. Ruth Roop of Traverse City, Mrs. Varden Akers of Muskegon, Mrs. Julia Roop of Summit City, Thomas of Kingsley, and Basil, Eldridge, Donna and Adolphus Jr. at home; three sisters, Mrs. Naomi Tolbert of Brighton, Mrs. Mabel Kelly of Detroit, and Mrs. Martha Snyder of Fife Lake; one brother, Wilbur of Flint; and eleven grandchildren.
