Thomas L. Aldridge, 73, of Kalkaska, died Friday, September 15, 1995 in Wexford County.

Mr. Aldridge moved to Kalkaska in 1979. Prior to his retirement in 1975, he had been employed as a machinist at Cone Drive Gear Company in Traverse City, and had been the manager of the Cone Drive Federal Credit Union. He served in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Marines during WWII, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the UAW. He was an avid hunter.

Mr. Aldridge was born in Walton Junction on November 4, 1921 to Adolphus and Nellie Smith Aldridge, Sr., He married Ursula Revette in 1945, and she preceded him in death in 1977. On Jul 7, 1979, in Kalkaska, he married Josephine Barnard who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Al Barnard of Rapid City and Daniel Aldridge of Traverse City; three daughters, Janice O’Brien of Cadillac, Glenna Barnard of Lansing, and Michelle Watson of Kalkaska; three brothers, Basil of Muskegon, Elbridge of Traverse City, and Adolphus Jr, of Port Aransas, TX; three sisters, Donna Martin of Alab., Julia Roop of Kingsley, and Varden Akers of Muskegon; and eight grandchildren.

One brother, Mancil and two sisters, Ruth Roop and Clarice Hicks preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Tue at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. E. Dan Johnson officiated. Burial in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens with graveside services under the auspices of Land O’Lakes VFW Post 8684.
