Phyllis Jeanne Vermillion, 79, of Belle Center passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Thu, May 13, 2021. She was born in Ada, OH on Nov 11, 1941 to the late Wayne and Anna (Elzay) Wright. She married Ronald Dean Vermillion on Dec 24, 1956 and he preceded her in death on Jul 20, 1998. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Earnest Holt) Heilman, Tamara (Daniel) Comstock and Kandace (Todd Stump) Hopson; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Smith and Patricia Betz and four sisters in law, Janice Wright, Wanda Hamilton, Imogene Vermillion, and Connie Vermillion. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Dean Vermillion; a granddaughter; 12 siblings and several brothers in law, and sisters in law. She was a member of Flat Branch Church of Christ; the VFW Post #6817 (Mt. Victory), The T.O.P.S. Club #1032 and the Eagles Post #2163. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Mon, May 17, 2021 at Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview McDonald Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be direct to the Hardin County Council on aging.
