Paul VanAtta, 78, Ada, Died at 10:15am at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was a son to John W. and Grace A. (Elzay) VanAtta. On March 19, 1954, he married Rosemary S. Montgomery, who survives in Lakeview.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas (Vicki), Arlington, and James, Lakeview; a daughter, Linda Brown, Gainsville, FL; two brothers, Lloyd (Mary) Ada, and John (Brenda) Lakeview; three sisters, Mildred Robinson, Arlington, Marie Wolgamot, Columbus, and Lola (Jack) Mullholand, Fremont; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Harold, Donald, and Willard.
He retired from the maintenance department at Ohio Northern University, Ada. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9381, Ada, and AMVETS Post 39, Lakeview. He was a member of American Legion Post 400, Orland, FL, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1533 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3615, both in Lakeview. He was a 1948 graduate of Ada High School.
