Mildred I. “Millie” (Van Atta) Moe Robinson, 95, of Arlington, passed away at 10am on Mon, Apr 18, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center, Arlington. Mildred was born on Mar 6, 1916, to the late John W. and Grace A (Elzay) Van Atta in New Stark. Mildred married George Willis Moe on Apr 25, 1937, and he preceded her in death on Feb 20, 1975. She later married Francis “Bernie” Robinson on Jan 14, 1978 and he passed away on Jan 2, 2007.

Mildred is survived by a daughter, Dana Mae Arrington of Findlay; two stepsons, Keith Lynn (Tammy S.) Robinson of Arlington; and Terry Alan (Julie) Robinson of Ada; stepdaughter, Linda Marie (Peter) Wilson of Janera; brothers, Lloyd Van Atta of Ada; and John Van Atta of Lakeview; stepbrothers, William Fricks and Ray Fricks both of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Marie (Paul) Wolgemot of Columbus and Lola (Jack) Mullholand of Fremont; stepsister, Sevilla (Alfred) Moon of Bluffton; two grandchildren, Lori (Mike) Bowers of Findlay and Mark (Karen) Arrington of Middlebury, IN; eight step grandchildren, Melissa Kroshe of Janera, Patty (Mike) Orwick of Forest, Todd (Angela) Wilson of Janera, Diane (Chad) Parke of Findlay, Amanda Robinson and fiancé Joe Panfil of Madison, WI, Ryan Robinson and fiancé Brittany Wells of Arlington, Matthew Robinson and fiancé Jen Johnson of Toledo, and Weston and Cole Robinson of Ada; two great grandchildren, Ceara Arrington and Colton Bowers both of Findlay; and eight step great grandchildren, Miriam and Andrew Kroshe, Kendra and Bailey Parke, Olivia and Jacob Orwick, and Black and Grant Wilson. Mildred was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie Moe; brothers, Willard, Harold, Donald, and Paul Van Atta; stepsisters, Dorothy (William) Stokes, Mattie (Willard) Van Atta and Sarah (James) Pifer.

Mildred was a 1935 graduate of Ada High School. Mildred formerly worked for JC Penney for 10 years, La Salles for 14 years, and Kessel’s for seven years. Mildred was a member of Howard United Methodist Church, Findlay, where she was a member of the UMW and Rachel Circle. Mildred was also involved with the Findlay Order of Eastern Star #23. Mildred’s hobbies were bowling, playing cards, plastic crafts, making Swedish Afghans, reading, and circle word books. Millie also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and people of all ages. She also enjoyed 17 winters in Ruskin, FL with Bernie before his death.

Funeral services will be at 11am on Thu, Apr 21, 2011 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, where visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8pm on Wed, Apr 20, 2011. Rev. Steve Edmiston will officiate and burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens Cemetery. Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 7pm Wed at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society of Arlington and/ or the American Cancer Society in her memory.
