Olive Gerds, 74, a former Fargo-Avoca resident, died Wed, Nov 30, 1983, in St. Joe’s, Tawas.
She was born Jun 23, 1909, in Brockway Township. She married Arnold Gerds Jul 3, 1947, in Ohio. He died Nov 27, 1972.
Mrs. Gerds lived in Oscoda but had lived in Fargo the last 27 years.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Fred (Nevabelle) Mason, Avoca; two brothers, Alvin Morgan and Elburn Morgan, Ruby; and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Dan, Albert, and Jack Morgan; and three sisters, Eva Wixson, Agnes Morgan, and Florence Lawrence, all died earlier.
Services will be held at 11 am Saturday in the Kaatz Funeral Home, Yale. The Rev. Darrel Tallman, of the Avoca United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery, Fargo.
Visiting is from 7 to 9 pm today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Friday in the funeral home.
