Nevabelle Mason, 79, died Sunday evening, Jan. 16, 2000, at Fair Acres Nursing Center, Armada, where she had been a resident for four years. She was born March 4, 1920, in Avoca, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Clark Morgan. Her marriage to Fred H. Mason was May 29, 1947, in Port Huron. Mr. Mason did Nov. 11, 1987.
Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ann and Larry White of Dryden; granddaughters, Rhonda and Bill Ogden of Emmett and Kimberly White of Almont; two great grandchildren, Billy and Alissa Ogden, her brother, Elburn Morgan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alvin, Albert, Dan and Jack Morgan; and sisters, Eva, Florence, Olive and Agnes.
A funeral service will be shared at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Greenwood Township. The rev. Robert Chapman, pastor of Avoca United Methodist Church, will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 5 to 9 pm today. Memorials are suggested to Avoca United Methodist Church or Blue Water Hospice.
