Services for Louis Carpenter will be 11am Fri at Price Funeral Home, Kenton, by Pastor Craig Mansfield. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Thu.
He died at 10:15pm Tue, October 6, 2004, at his residence.
He was born Jul 2, 1938 in Forest to Arthur W. and Vivian L (Ream) Carpenter. On October 18, 1959, he married Shirley Sharp and she died in Nov 1971.
Surviving are two daughters, Shenan (Robert) Kelly of Ridgeway and Torrey (Steve) Freshcorn of Kenton; a son, Louis II of Kenton; a special friend, Ellie Oates of Kenton; eight grandchildren, Noelle Kelly of San Antonio, TX, Murraya, Shanah, and Bo Kelly, all of Ridgeway, Mikayle, Johan, Josiah, and Jordyn Freshcorn, all of Kenton; four sisters, Joyce Shirk, Arlene (Wayne) Rogers, Kathryn Bridenstine, all of Kenton, and Peggy (Steve) Flesher of LaRue; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marty Zimmerman; a niece and three nephews.
He was retired from Rockwell after 30 years. He had served in the National Guard.
Memorials may be made to Hardin County Hospice or to the family in care of the funeral home.
