Arlene E. “Skinny” Rogers, 86, of Kenton passed away on Fri, Jan 7, 2022 at Marion General Hospital. Arlene was born on Mar 31, 1935 to the late Arthur and Vivian Carpenter.
She married Wayne Rogers on Aug 25, 1951 and he survives along with sons: Chris (Carol) Rogers, Keith (Christine) Rogers, Tab Rogers, Brent Rogers, and Shane (Laura) Rogers. Arlene is also survived by her grandchildren: Shad, Laurel, Erin, Jessi, and Taylor; and sisters: Peggy and Katherine. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne “Wade” Rogers; sisters: Joyce and Marty; and a brother, Louie.
Arlene loved her children, grandchildren, her dog Sammy, her cats, and her garden pond. She was known for her quilting skills and if you have one of Skinny’s Ohio State Buckeyes Quilt, you are lucky.
Visitation will be held on Wed, Jan 12, 2001 from 3 to 7 pm at the Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2pm on Thu, Jan 13, 2021 at the Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Hess and Pastor Dave Dooley officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made In memory of Arlene to the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Kenton or the Kenton Church of the Nazarene.
