Kenneth Duane Foote, age 74, of Chase, passed away peacefully Fri, Apr 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 12, 1937, in Gladwin, to George and Elsie (Westover) Foote and had been a resident of Chase since 1986. He was employed with the Consumers Power Co. for 45 years as a lineman and enjoyed his job immensely. He dedicated hours of work toward deer and wildlife management on his farm and looked forward to the fall hunting season. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, working with wood, and hunting trips out West.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Marie (Miller) Foote of Chase; sons, Keith of Ann Arbor, Alan (Julie) of Howard City, Robert of Grand Rapids, and Kurt (Tammy) Whittaker, daughter, Ruth of Paris; grandchildren, Tyler, Travis, Caleb, and Parker; brothers, Richard (Lois) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Lyle (Marilyn) of Oregon City, Oregon; sisters, Shirley (Emerson) Dassey of Coleman, and Effie Brewer of Gladwin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Foote; and sisters, Betty, Ella Mae, and Loretta.
Funeral services will be 2pm Fri, Apr 13, 2012 at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City, with Rev. Joe Hilyard officiating.
