Joyce Ann Heckman, 66, died at 2:35pm, at St. Rita’s Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of William and Helen (Lanning) Heckman. Her mother survives in Lima. On August 24, 1968, she married Bruce M. Merry, who survives in Lima.
Also surviving are two sons: Robert (Erin) Sheboygan, WI, and Travis (Angela), Knoxville, TN; five grandchildren: Alex, Lauren, and Ian, and Paige and Chloe; a brother, William (Linda), Dayton; a sister, Vicki (Terry) Selby, Lima; and brother in law, Bill Glaze, Huntsville.
Deceased are two sisters: Karen Glaze and Barbara June Heckman.
She was a devoted with and mother who cherished her family, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her loving husband, watching Nascar and Friday night sprint car races at Limeland. She also enjoyed traveling to visit her children and grandchildren in Wisconsin and Tennessee.
A memorial service will be at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, with Rev. Stephen Blum officiating.
