Jake A. Silvers, 81, of Brooksville died Tuesday. A native of Indiana, he came to this area in 1957 from Mesick, MI. He was a retired poultry farm worker and of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by five sons, Arnold and Roger, both of Brooksville, Gary of Mesick, MI, Don of Mount Pleasant, MI, and Larry of Warren, OH; five daughters, Dora Alcorn, Lula Belle Shears, and Nilda Huette, all of Brooksville, Mary Kendall of Mesick, MI and Wayva Moore of Ocala; two brothers, William of Battle Creek, MI and Melvin of Grand Rapids, MI; a sister, Mildred Powers of Battle Creek, MI; 29 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Brooksville Chapel of Brewer Memorial Funeral Homes Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
