Albert Gary Silvers of Mesick passed away on Feb 27, 2010 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was 74. Albert was born on Jan 1, 1936 in Mesick, MI to the late Jake and Stella Faye (Dunseth) Silvers. He married Marilyn Maxon on Jul 20, 1957.
Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino, spending time at the coffee shop but most of all; he loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving Mr. Silvers are his loving wife, Marilyn, children, Mary Lynn Damon of Mesick, Wanda Kay Silvers of Mesick, Gary Lee (Alice) Silvers of Cadillac, Cathy Dee (Tim) Damon of Mesick, and Michael Ray Silvers of Mesick. Sister, Lola Bell Shears of Florida, brother, Don Silvers of Mt Pleasant, brother in law, Frank Kendall of Mesick. Grandchildren, Shannon, Rena, Jennifer, Morgan, Nicholas, Brandy, Janie, Gary Jr, Brenna, Brandon, Christopher and Brittney. Great Grandchildren, Seth, Bianca, David, and Ciara.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary, Nelda, and Peggy, brothers, Arnold, Roger and Larry, and grandson, Brandon Michael Damon.
Funeral services for Mr. Silvers will be held on Thu, Mar 4, 2010 at 11am at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Wed, Mar 3, 2010 at the funeral home. Pastor Joe Martin will be officiating. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to direct them to Mesick and Buckley Rescue Squads.
