Wayne A. Meek Sr of Troy died Dec 2, 2020. Wayne was born Apr 5, 1939 in Detroit to Evelyn (nee Olson) and John Meek.
Wayne enjoyed bowling, golf, softball, boating, casinos, and buffets, meticulous yard and gardens, The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. He especially loved all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a proud business owner of LaSalle Thread Grinding Inc for 42 years. Widely admired as a great man with a kind and loving heart, Wayne will be missed dearly and deeply.
Wayne is survived by his children, Steven (Lynne) Meek, Wayne Meek Jr, Kelli (Dave) Meek, and Mark (Jeanne) Meek, step children, Debbie Rey and David Conners, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Shirley (Terry) Jones and many nieces and nephews. Wayne is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, MaryAnn Meek, brother, David Meek, and sister, Irene Soring.
Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd (between 14-15 Mile Rds) Sun, Dec 6, 3 to 6 pm. A Committal Service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Twp, Mon, Dec 7 at 1 pm.
Donations may be made to Wounded Warriors. While Wayne was not a veteran, his little brother Dave was a wounded veteran from Vietnam.
