Irene Ruth Soring, age 68, a long time resident of Royal Oak, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at St. John Oakland Hospital. She was born October 20, 1941 in Hazel Park to John and Evelyn Meek. Mrs. Soring attended Hazel Park High School and worked at Madison Community Hospital for 27 years. Surviving are her children, John of Ferndale, Sonia Runevitch of Hazel Park and Ronald (Christine) Algonac; siblings, Wayne (Mary Ann) Meek of Troy and Shirley (Terry) Jones of Owosso; grandchildren, David, Jonathan, Melissa, Adam, Eric, Jahnessa, Shayla, and Shane and great-grandson, Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband John, in 2002; brother, David and her parents. Visitation Saturday 1-8 p.m. Service Sunday 11 a.m. at the Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Burial, Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
