Pearl Ann (Ely) Daniels

DEATH: 23 Jul 2004 Traverse City, Grand Traverse, Michigan

She was the daughter of Perry and Elizabeth (Gallaugh) Ely. In July of 1938, in Fife Lake, she married Robert P. Daniels.

Pearl worked for the Fife Lake School system preparing lunch for all the children there for more than ten years. She also assisted with the birth of many of her neighborhood children.

She recently received a plaque commemorating her sixty year membership in Rebekah order of the I.O.O.F. She was a charter member of the Fife Lake American Legion Post #219 and the Secret Pal Club. Pearl was a former member of the Michigan fiddlers association.

She was fond of country and blue glass music. She gardened four acres of vegetables bordered by flowers. She enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables. Pearl loved the outdoors, deer hunting, mushrooming, and picking blueberries. Prior to her husband’s death, they traveled extensively together. Pearl will be fondly remembered for her peanut brittle and fudge! She loved spending time with family especially for the Christmas holiday.

Pearl is survived by three sons, Robert Daniels, Doug Daniels, and Doyle Daniels; nine grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1985; two grandsons; and three brothers.
