O.S. Ayers is Taken By Heart Failure

Long ill, Husband Follows Wife Who Died Year Ago;

Interment At Traverse City

After an illness of only a week, Obadiah S. Ayers died at his home, 220 S James St., at 1:30 this afternoon. The immediate cause of his death was heart failure, although he had not been in good health for the past several years.

Mr. Ayers is survived by three sons, Perry, Earl, and Otto Ayers of Ludington; and two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hendricks of Traverse City and Miss Reva Ayers at home.

Mrs. Ayers preceded her husband in death by a year.

Funeral services will be held from the family home at 7:30 Wed evening. Dor. Thomas Cox officiating. The body will be taken to Traverse City Thu noon, and interment will probably be made Sat. Mr. Ayers body will be placed beside that of his wife at Traverse City.

Decedent was born 62 years ago at Elmira, Otsego County. Fourteen years ago the family came from Traverse City to Ludington, where they have since resided. Mr. Ayers followed the trade of a plumber. He was a member of Ludington lodge, No. 637 Loyal Order of the Moose.
