Mrs. Minnie M Hendricks, 70, former salad chief at the YWCA cafeteria and native of Traverse City, died unexpectedly late Wednesday afternoon of heart attack in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Paul Obal, 1350 Oaklawn St, NE with whom she lived.

Mrs. Hendricks was doing needlework when she collapsed and died.

Mrs. Hendricks lived in Traverse City and Manistee all her life except the last four years. She came to Grand Rapids to live in 1949. She worked at the YWCA two years, resigning six months ago.

Surviving besides Mrs. Obal are two sons, Everett and Clifford of Grand Rapids; a sister, Mrs.Alfred Martineau of Detroit; a brother Otto Ayers, of Ionia, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday in Metcalf Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
