George H. Ayers, 70, of 229 Park Street, died early this morning at Osteopathic hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Ayers was born Dec. 11, 1887 in Benzie county, moving when a young man to Grawn. He moved to Traverse City 42 years ago.
Mr. Ayers is survived by two sister, Mrs. Agnes VanBoven of Kalamazoo, and Mrs. Lulu Elliott of Traverse City; a brother, Cloyd Ayers of Traverse City and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from Reynolds funeral home. The Rev. John Bathgate will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
