Mrs. Mildred Newmarch, 59, lifelong resident of Grand Traverse County, died early Thur morning at her farm home east of Kingsley following a lingering illness.

Mildred Smith was born Feb 26, 1896 at Walton Junction, the daughter of Emery J. and Nora B Smith.

On Mar 28, 1916 she was united in marriage to Earl Newmarch of Kingsley and to this union were born 10 children.

Mrs. Newmarch was a member of the North Paradise Flower club, the Hodge Sparling Farm Bureau and a member of the Church of Christ of Walton Junction.

Surviving besides her husband, Earl, are six daughters, Mrs. Harold Riley of Kingsley, Mrs. Lena Themm of Pontiac, Mrs. Doris Stein, Mrs. Irene Stremlow, Mrs. Helen Fritz and Mrs. Leona Crouse all of Kingsley; three sons, Harold, Floyd and Jay all of Kingsley; 12 grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Harriet Kimball of Pontiac, Mrs. Nellie Aldridge of Traverse City, Mrs. Pearl Vernier and Mrs. Dorothy Dontje, both of Pontiac and Mrs. Jane Loper of Manton; four brothers, Emery and Edward Smith both of Walton Junction, and Ray and Robert Smith of Pontiac and many other relatives. One son died in infancy.

Funeral services will be held Sat afternoon at 2 from the Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley. Rev. Marshall Reed of Kingsley Baptist church will officiate and burial will be made in Evergreen cemetery, Kingsley.
