Maude (Tolbert) Wainwright, 84, of Wethersfield, died Mon (Mar 7, 1988) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Homestead, MI, and had lived in Wethersfield the last 46 years. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Congregational in Wethersfield and the Order of the Eastern Star of Wethersfield. She is survived by her husband, David Wainwright; four daughters, Joanne Wainwright, Irene Wainwright and Ruth Ellsworth, all of Wethersfield, and Janet Tolhus of East Hartford; a son in law, Fred H Ellsworth of Wethersfield; six grandchildren, Brian Ellsworth of Rocky Hill, Laura Bober and John Tolhus, both of East Hartford, Brenda Ellsworth of Hartford, Sharon Widdecomb of Berlin, and Corinne Bergeron of Vernon; four brothers, Clyde Tolbert of Detroit, MI, Harry Tolbert of Redford, MI, Jess Tolbert of Taylor, MI, and Richard Tolbert of Southfield, MI; a sister, Mabel Cowan of Farmington, MI; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday 11 am, at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St, Rocky Hill, with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home today, 7 to 9 pm.
