Mrs. Charles Cork
Funeral services were held on Wed, Jun 2, from the Mavis Funeral Home in Sandusky for Mrs. Margaret Cork, 89, Peck, who passed away on May 31 in the Sanilac County Medical Care Facility following a long illness.
Rev. Horace L. James, pastor of the First United Methodist church, Sandusky officiated and burial was made in Speaker cemetery.
Mrs. Cork was born in Speaker Township on Apr 7, 1882 and had been a lifetime resident of the Peck area. She was married to Charles H. Cork in 1909 in Speaker Township. He passed away in 1959.
Mrs. Cork was a member of Elk Chapter Eastern Star at Peck.
Surviving are three sons, Gordon of Birmingham; Bruce, Hinsdale, IL, and Robert, Sandusky; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ruoff, Carpenteria, CA; a sister, Mrs. Andre Martin, Algonac; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Burial was in Speaker Cemetery.
