Keith R. Cross, 70, a lifelong resident of the Kalkaska area, died Saturday, December 29, 1990 at Munson Medical Center.
Mr. Cross was a retired deputy sheriff in Kalkaska County and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making, and writing short stories.
Born in Kalkaska on Aug. 3, 1920, he was the son of Guy and Irene (Nash) Cross. On May 4, 1940 in Cheboygan, he married Beatrice Lippard, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Kenneth Cross of Kalkaska; his mother, Irene Cross of Manton; three brothers, Clinton Cross and Gerald Cross both of Kalkaska, and Larry Cross of Long Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Merle Huff of Albion, Ardis Watson of Kalkaska, Virginia Watson of Williamsburg, and Eileen Rattray of Manton; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan 5, 1991, at the Kalkaska Church of Christ, E. Dan Johnson officiated.
Arrangements were made by the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
