Keith C. Gauld, 59, died Tue, Jul 2, 1996 at home.
He was born Ju 4, 1937 in Marquette to Clifford J and Bertha J Jenkins Gauld. On Aug 1, 1964 in Traverse City he married the former Judy A. Howard.
A life-long resident of the area, he graduated from Manton High School in 1955 and Northwestern Beauty Academy in 1964. He retired from the Traverse City State Hospital in 1991 after 23 years of service as an attendant nurse. He was a member of Lake Ann United Methodist Church, life member of the DAV, he served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, professional sports, gardening and cutting firewood.
Mr. Gauld enjoyed his part time job at Mistwood Golf Course in Lake Ann. He loved his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Judy A. Gauld of Lake Ann, daughter Melissa (Mike) Stroup of Mancelona; son Clifford (Nancy) Gauld of Lake Ann; brothers Gordon (Jan) Gauld of Mt Pleasant, Verl (Mary) Gauld of WI, Gary (Jean) Gauld of Three Rivers, Patrick (Amanda) Gauld of Cadillac, Lynn (Linda) Gauld of Wellston; sisters Verda (Richard) Barnes and Lillian (Robert) Cunningham of Manton, June Haskin of Jacksonville, FL, Sandra (William) Piffer of Rochester, NY; grandchildren Ryan and Amanda Stroup of Mancelona, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Benjamin, James, and Clarence Gauld.
A memorial service was held Fri, Jul 5, 1996j at Lake Ann United Methodist Church. Rev. Charles Towersey and Rev. Verl Gauld officiated. Burial was in Inland Township Cemetery with full military honors under the auspices of Cherryland Post #2780 VFW.
