Judith Ann Herman, age 77, of Sault Ste Marie, MI passed away early Wed morning Oct 29,2008 at home. She was born on Jun 25, 1931 in Pickford, MI.
Judy worked for the Community Action Food Pantry, as a pantry intake worker and delivering meals on wheels. She enjoyed reading, gardening, being outside with her grandchildren and playing bingo with her daughter. Most of all she loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Judy is survived by three daughters: Kathy (Ed) Crane and Kriss (Lee) Mason of Sault Ste Marie, MI and Karen (Ray) Muller of Sault Ste Marie, Canada; two sons, Kelly (Dawn) Barras of Kincheloe, MI and Kevin (Terri) Herman of Detroit, MI; twelve grandchildren: Edwin (Cheryl) Crane, Jeanine (Mike) Onraet-Taylor, Sarah Mason, Carl Mason, Kurtis Barras, Jessie Barras, Amanda Herman, Lynsey Herman, Kevin Herman, and Christy Herman, Ashley Muller and Dalton Muller; six great grandchildren: Taylor Crane, Tyler Crane, Kalan Onraet-Taylor, Nathan Herman, Cloud Bryant, and Cameron Bryant; six sisters, Janet Szczepanski of Tawas City, MI, Joan (Bill) Henderson of CedarvillePatsy (Carl) Dosenbach of Sault Ste Marie, MI, Linda Westover of Dafter, MI, Laurie (Bill) Payment and Wendy (John) Bjunes of Sault Ste Marie, MI; and a brother, Ronald (Heike) Westover of Sault Ste Marie, MI.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Dorothy (Steele) Westover, brother: Rick Westover, Brother in law: Hank Szczepanski, 3 nephews and a niece.
Judy will be greatly missed by her children. Memorials in her name may be left to Donaldson Presbyterian Church.
According to Judy’s wishes there will be no public services. A private family burial will be held in the spring at Cottle Cemetery.
