Mr. John E. DeCheney Sr, age 72, passed away Tue, Jan 8, 2013 at home. He was born in Muskegon, MI on Nov 6, 1940 to Joseph & Lula (Guimond) DeCheney and married the former Jeritza “Dee” Akers. Mr DeCheney had been employed as a mechanic at Monnette Chrysler for years until retiring. He njoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and tinkering. But foremost was always his family.
Survivors: wife, Dee; sons, Gerald (Linda) DeCheney of Grand Haven, Bradley (Sonya) DeCheney of Hesperia; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Norma Burke of Hesperia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, John Jr; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
