G. Gauld died at his home in Springfield after a lingering illness. He was at Cadillac in the hospital for two or three weeks, but he got no better; he was brought home Saturday, August 12; and died Monday night, and was buried Wednesday, August 16. The funeral services were held in the United Brethren church. Rev. Baker of Fife Lake officiated. He leaves a wife and five children, three boys and two girls, all of whom are married and reside in the vicinity, besides other relatives to mourn their loss. The remains were laid in the Springfield Cemetery.
