James J. Gauld, aged 78, a resident of Springfield township for forty-five years, died Sept 21, in the upper peninsula, where he was engaged in the lumbering business.
His wife, one daughter and one son preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eva Wheeler of Fife Lake and Mrs. Lilith Beardsley of Muskegon; and two brothers, Arthur of Fife Lake and George of Muskegon. He leaves thirty three grandchildren and thirty one great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, September 25th, at 2 p.m. at the church in Springfield, with Rev. A. R. Ellis officiating and burial was in the Clark Cemetery in Springfield Township.
