Mrs. Eva Wheeler, 86, of Fife Lake died early Tuesday night in Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Mt. Pleasant, after a long illness.
Born January 2, 1885 at Caldwell, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lone and Earnest Cunningham. She came to Michigan with her parents in 1891 and was united in marriage to Albert Wheeler on Dec. 24, 1915.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Brockway of Big Rapids, Mrs. Dominic (Lorene) Kuzma of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Gordon (Nancy) Hulbert of Gladstone; four sons, Fay of Mt Pleasant, Gerald of Fife Lake, Kenneth of Harrison, and Dale of Grand Rapids; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband in 1955, a daughter, Thelma, and a son Jay, in World War II.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. form Smith Funeral Home, Kingsley. Rev. Arthur Turner of Fife Lake Methodist Church will officiate, with burial in Springfield cemetery, Kalkaska County.
