Albert Wheeler, 64, long time resident of Fife Lake, died at the Boardman Valley hospital in Traverse City Thursday afternoon. Mr. Wheeler was born June 13, 1890, in Dudley, Ohio, the son of Harry and Nancy Wheeler. At an early age he came with his parents to Fife Lake, where they settled on a farm. 

On December 24, 1915, he was united in marriage to Eva Wolfe of Fife Lake and to this union were born nine children, five sons and four daughters. Mr. Wheeler lived most of his life in Fife Lake with the exception of a year spent in Flint. 

Surviving besides his widow, Eva, are four sons, Gerald and Dale of Fife Lake and Kenneth and Fay of Mt. Pleasant, three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Brockway of Howe, Indiana, Mrs. Lorene Kuzma of Grand Rapids, and Miss Nancy Wheeler of Grand Rapids; 11 grandchildren and many other relatives and a host of friends. Two children, a twelve year old daughter, and a son, Jay, who lost his life in Luxemburg, Germany, in World War II preceded him in death. 

The body was taken to the Smith Funeral Home at Kingsley and will be returned Saturday afternoon to his home in Fife Lake. Funeral services will be conducted from the Fife Lake Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Rev. Edward Eldens of the Fife Lake Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be made in the Springfield Cemetery.
