Ernest W. Sewell, born Mar 28, 1923 in Edmore; died Mar 24, 1995 at the age of 71. Mr. Sewell was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army, and had retired from Oldsmobile Corporation after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Lansing Aerie #1039 Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Lansing Lodge #288 Loyal Order of Moose. Mr. Sewell was preceded in death by his wife, Arleen Flynn Sewell (1977) and 1 sister. Surviving are 1 daughter, Cynthia Sewell of Lansing; 1 son, James (Cynthia Jessup) Sewell of Manchester; 2 granddaughters, Ashleigh and Caitlin Sewell; 1 brother; 5 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tue, Mar 28, 12 noon at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI with the Rev. Vincent Carroll, Pastor, Emanuel United Church of Christ, Manchester, officiating. Interment will follow in North Star Cemetery, Ithaca. Friends may call at the Chapel beginning Monday, 2pm where the family will receive friends from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm.
