Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Elzorah Blake at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Bostick Chapel with Rev. Eugene Wetzig officiating. Burial will be in Springfield Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Blake died Thursday in Mercy Hospital. She had been ill for about 18 months.
Mrs. Blake, 70, the former Elzorah VanderBrook, was born Aug 20, 1898 at Hopkins, Allegan County. She came to the Fife Lake area as a child. She attended the Fife Lake School and Kalamazoo Business school.
She was married to Clarence Blake in 1919. She had live din the Fife Lake area, Upper Peninsula, and Muskegon, returning to Fife Lake are in 1927. Her husband died in 1953. After that she lived 10 years with her father, John BanderBrook of the Fife Lake aera. For the past few years she has lived with a daughter, Mrs. Roderick (Ruth) Tidey at Manton.
Surviving with Mrs. Tidey are two other daughters, Mrs. James (Margie) Smith of Inkster and Mrs. Dwight (Faith) Zassenbraker of Flint; eight grandchildren. Other survivors are three brothers, Ray VanderBrook of Cadillac, Laurel and Burdette VanderBrook, both of Fife Lake.
