Funeral services for Mrs. Ella B. Stokes, 80, of Fife Lake, who died Wednesday morning in Boardman Valley hospital following a long illness, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. from the Fife Lake Methodist church.
The Rev. Gordon Terpening will officiate and burial will be made in Clark Cemetery in Kalkaska County.
Mrs. Stokes was born December 25, 1878, in Springfield township, Kalkaska county, the daughter of Ambrose and Martha Jones. In 1890, she married William Harvey at Fife Lake, and one son was born to this union. Mr. Harvey preceded her in death.
On July 6, 1907, she married Brady L. Stokes, who died December 7, 1945.
Surviving are a son, William Harvey of Lansing: two half sisters, Mrs. Ira Bardwell of Kalkaska and Mrs. William Wedow of Toledo; and four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The body will remain at the Smith Funeral home in Kingsley until 12:30 p.m. Sunday, when it will be taken to the church at Fife Lake to lie in state until time of services.
