Donald Ray Hodge, 61, of rural Hammond, died at 4:55 pm Sat, Mar 22, 2008 at his residence near Hammond.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Thu, Mar 27, 2008 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine St, Arthur. A Memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation with Rev. John Stewart officiating.
Donald was born Dec 14, 1946, the son of Frederick and Roberta Owens Hodge. He is survived by his mother, Roberta Hodge of Hammond; son Daniel Hodge and wife Nicole of Arthur, IL; daughter, Wendy Fourez of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Andalyn Hodge of Arthur; brothers, Robert Hodge of Hammond, IL and James Hodge of Olatha, KS.
Donald retired from Bridgestone/ Firestone in Decatur as a supervisor. He was a member of the Atwood Hammond Class of 1964. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of Hammond as a youth. Donald loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1972.
Memorials are suggested to the American Red Cross in lieu of flowers.
