Wilma Sewell, 88 of Lansing, MI, died Nov 10, 2016. Wilma was born to Sylvia and John Scott.

Her husband Howard Giles Sewell first caught her eye at a square dance and their dates frequently included dancing to big band music in dance halls. They married Aug 29, 1950. They were married for 66 years.

She spent weekends up north at Little Manistee Lake, on the boat with book in hand and terrier Trixie by her side while her family fished.

She taught her daughters baking recipes and ensured meals always concluded with dessert at the Sewell dining table. She was close to her three sisters, Margarete, Veralee, and Mabel. She hosted card parties and luncheons with her sisters in law and their daughters.

She belonged to the Fraternal Order and Service Organization Rebekahs, the sister organization to the Independent Organization of Odd Fellows, to which Howard belongs. She made many memories with her bowling league.
