Funeral services were held Sat afternoon, Apr 17 at the Bostick Chapel for William C. Lanning, 68, who passed away Thu at Kalamazoo. Rev. Leonard Bruder of the Baptist Church officiated and interment was in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Born in Priam, IN in Jan 1886, the son of Jacob and Ella Lanning, hemoved with his parents in 1902 to Manton. Mr. Lanning left this vicinity in 1941 and lived for a time in Battle Creek before locating in Kalamazoo.
He is survived by two brothers, Otto of Battle Creek and Charles of Manton; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Jacobs and Mrs. Lulu Proctor of Manton, and Mrs. Abner Courtright of Hartford City, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
