Lulu Proctor, an 80 year Manton resident, died Tue afternoon in Cadillac’s Mercy Hospital after a year long illness. She was 88.
She was born Lulu Lanning October 12, 1894 in Hartford City, IN. She came to Manton at age nine, moving to Bloomfield Township in Missaukee County. She married Fred Proctor in Lake City in 1911. He preceded her in death in 1947.
She is survived by three sons, Earl and Wilford of Manton, and Fred of Fife Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Virgie Snyder and Mrs. Ida Ehle of Manton; and eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren.
Services are 1pm Fri in the Hall Funeral Chapel, Manton. Visitation will be 7-9pm today and 2-4 and 7-9pm Thu at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bloomfield Township Cemetery.
