William Henry Haskin, 76, passed away at his farm home near Fife Lake Saturday morning. Mr. Haskin was born near Walkerton, Ind, May 26, 1865, and came with his parents to Traverse City at the age of five. His father was an early settler here and a Civil War veteran. Mr. Haskin, on Sept. 26, 1889, was united in marriage to Alzora Ann Cary and to this union were born eight children, Mrs. Irena Long, Alex Haskin, Mrs. Zina Bourne, and Mrs. rose Ash all of Detroit; Mrs. Olive Aldrich of Traverse City; Fred Haskin of Mississippi; Edward and Royal Haskin of Fife Lake. Left to mourn their loss, besides the widow and children , are ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 from the Christian Church of Springfield township with burial in the Springfield Township Cemetery, Rev. Alvin Ellis of South Boardman, officiated.
